Daily Production

Each day we produce between 25,000 and 40,000 incense sticks, depending on the season and the availability of raw materials. Our production remains intentionally measured, far from industrial mass manufacturing, in order to ensure consistent quality, careful attention to detail, and respect for the natural rhythm of the process.

Empowering Women’s Work

Our production reality is composed primarily of women from local communities. Manual work provides them with a stable source of income and economic independence. We believe in the dignity of craftsmanship and in the social value it generates: supporting women’s work means supporting families, villages, and entire communities.

Certified 100% Natural Incense

Our incense is certified 100% natural by an authorized European certification body. Each ingredient is carefully selected and controlled to guarantee the absence of synthetic substances, artificial fragrances, or hidden chemical components. Certification is not simply a formal recognition, but a commitment to transparency and integrity.

Essential Oils and Raw Materials at Source

We use only premium natural raw materials and essential oils, sourced directly from their places of origin. Resins, woods, honey, and oils are selected for their quality and provenance, prioritizing direct relationships with local producers. This allows us to maintain integrity, traceability, and respect for regional traditions.

No Intermediaries in the Supply Chain

We do not work with intermediaries in our production chain. We oversee every stage directly, from the selection of raw materials to the final production. This enables us to ensure quality, fair compensation, and full control of the process, maintaining an authentic and direct relationship with those who collaborate with us.

Each box carries a story woven by hand, tradition, and resilience.
This handcrafted piece is made in the southern region of India, Karnataka, where a social cooperative, including artisans with disabilities, carefully creates each item using natural banana fiber.

Banana fiber is an ancient, sustainable, and remarkably strong material extracted from the plant’s stem after the banana harvest. Nothing goes to waste: what would normally be discarded is transformed into something meaningful, beautiful, and long-lasting. Its natural texture gives every box a unique character, with subtle variations in weave, tone, and finish that celebrate true craftsmanship.

Behind every thread lies patience, dignity, and human connection.
At Charkha Yoga, we work directly with small family businesses, rural communities, and social cooperatives because we believe the value of an object goes far beyond aesthetics, it is deeply human.

Our mission is to support local craftsmanship so that families can continue to live and work in their villages, preserving ancestral production techniques that risk disappearing. In regions often affected by rural depopulation and lack of opportunities, every purchase helps sustain ethical work, social inclusion, and cultural continuity.

This box is not just a storage object:
it is a quiet bridge between tradition, sustainability, and the future.

Perfect for storing jewelry, keepsakes, ritual objects, or simply bringing a meaningful piece of conscious craftsmanship into your space.
